Abdul El-Sayed issued a direct challenge to President Trump on Monday, calling for the president to visit Michigan to campaign for his party’s candidate, Mike Rogers. The Democratic Senate candidate made his comments during an appearance on All In, where he suggested that the president is the true force behind the Republican platform in the state.
“Please, I’m asking you, ‘Come to Michigan.’ Alright, your — clearly — your candidate can’t speak for himself. He doesn’t have anything to say. Clearly, you are the answer, and you should tell everybody why they should imagine you on the ballot,” El-Sayed said.
