EKU professor is leading a statewide discussion on Generative A.I. in higher education

Eastern Kentucky University is hosting a symposium on Generative Artificial Intelligence in higher education. Originally scheduled for only EKU faculty and staff attendees, the Kentucky Council for Postsecondary Education requested opening it to statewide faculty. Now, the four-hour online event has over 200 participants enrolled.

It will cover the gamut of the challenges faculty in higher education face in this era of a new technology. Dr. Lisa Blue, Instructional Specialist in STEM Teaching & Learning of the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning at EKU, visited the WEKU studios to tell Wendy Barnett about the symposium, how faculty can identify chatbot cheating, and tips for managing what some see as an added stress to the school year.
