Eintracht Frankfurt are going to be in for a battle just days before their clash with Rangers, according to Mainz scout Michael Thurk.
The derby between Eintracht and Mainz on Saturday may not be as consequential as usual with neither side left with much to play for.
12th-placed Frankfurt will also have one eye on the Europa League final with Gio van Bronckhorst 's team in Seville which comes just four days later.
However boss Oliver Glasner previously said they would be going "all-out" for the final game of the Bundesliga season.
And that seems to be a sentiment reciprocated in the Mainz camp as their scout Thurk insists it means just as much to both sets of fans - despite the relatively low stakes.
In an interview with Kicker , he said: "Of course you always want to win. But if you look at the calendar, you can see that we play Eintracht on May 14 and the Europa League final is on May 18.
"As far as the line-up is concerned, Eintracht will probably focus more on May 18th.
"However, the game is so important for both fan camps that I believe that the Eintracht team that plays us will do everything to win the game."
Eintracht boss Glasner previously said they would be using Saturday's clash as a "dress rehearsal" for their Europa League date with destiny.
The two sides will go toe to toe as they each look for their second ever European trophy but Glasner insists his side won't be taking their foot off the gas just days before.
He said: "We want to be at our best in Seville, but we will use the game in Mainz as a dress rehearsal.
"So I intend to pick my strongest team possible. We will go all out for a win before the Rangers game."
