The European dream hangs in the balance as West Ham United face Eintracht Frankfurt in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final. With the Bundesliga side going into the match with a 2-1 lead, the Hammers will once again need to pull all the stops and produce a similar performance to the one in France during the quarter-finals.
The Irons are 8/5 to win with Betfred while their Bundesliga counterparts are 6/4 slight favourites to secure a trip to Seville and a draw is 23/10. West Ham will look to be an anomaly in Frankfurt's European form with the hosts progressing through 22 from 25 two-legged clashes in European competitions after winning the first leg.
David Moyes will be eager to secure his side's first European final since 1976 and while they will be chasing a deficit at the start of the match, history has shown that is not all too bad. They trailed their 2-1 on aggregate in their semi-final clash in 1976 - which was against Eintracht Frankfurt too - before winning 3-1 in the second leg.

For Frankfurt, the Europa League is the only chance they will get European football next season after poor form in the league has eliminated any chance of that happening domestically. They sit 11th in the Bundesliga, 12 points behind FC Koln who sit in the Europa Conference League place with just two games to go.

Team stats
Both sides in matches involving West Ham have scored in 28 from 52 matches in all competitions this season including three from 11 in the Europa League. For Eintracht Frankfurt, it is 30 from 44 in all competitions and 10 in 11 in the Europa League. Both teams to score is 8/13.
The Irons have finished 26 matches in all competitions with three or more total goals including three in Europe while Frankfurt have finished 20 matches in all competitions with three or more goals including five in Europe. Over 2.5 goals is 4/5.
Player to watch
The Irons have relied on two players particularly to get the results needed and progress through the competition - Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen. Rice has provided a number of fantastic performances in all competitions from the midfield while Bowen has been making a name for himself this season to the point many are tipping him to feature for England in the near future.
For this match, I am tipping the former Hull City winger to add to his 16 goals this season in all competitions. He has picked up three in Europa League this season too including two vital goals over both legs against Ligue 1 side Lyon in the last round.
H2H
This will be only the fourth time these two sides have met with the Irons picking up just one win - which secured their European Cup Winners' Cup final place back in 1976. West Ham will be hoping for history to repeat itself in the second leg against Eintracht Frankfurt as they look for their first European final in 46 years.
