The eighth batch of the oil derivatives grant, provided by Saudi Arabia through the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY), arrived in the Yemeni governorate of Aden, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Sunday.
The shipment was carrying 60,000 tons of diesel and 25,000 tons of mazut.
Since the announcement of the grant, 684,000 tons of oil derivatives have been sent to meet the monthly needs of power stations in Yemen.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Electricity in Yemen Abdul Hakim Fadel said the grant has helped reduce power outages in the country and has had a positive impact on various sectors.
He expressed his appreciation to the Saudi leadership and people and the SDRPY for their great efforts in delivering the shipments.
