Nottingham and the surrounding countryside has some fantastic beauty spots and you don't have to venture far to find them. From an Arboretum in the heart of the city to a 'ravine' on the border of the county, dramatic and beautiful sights are aplenty.
There are some great opportunities to get outside and enjoy the changing seasons, as well as the chance to see some the county's wildlife. Look out for deer within the grounds and parkland of Wollaton Hall - which is less than five miles from the central point of Nottingham city centre, or head out to Clumber Park in North Notts to enjoy more than 3,800 acres of parkland, heath and woods.
Staying in the city, perhaps beauty of a different kind will take your fancy. There are numerous sandstone caves to explore.
