EFL side 'keen' on transfer reunion with Celtic star after successful loan

Bolton Wanderers are "keen" on re-signing Celtic striker Johnny Kenny, according to a new report.

Celtic are expected to consider offers for the 23-year-old once they complete a move for Bodo/Glimt forward Kasper Hogh, who is set to become the club's record signing at £11 million.

Now, Sky Sports have reported that clubs, including Bolton, are monitoring Kenny’s situation as he continues his recovery from knee ligament damage, having missed Celtic’s pre-season campaign.

Manager Martin O’Neill has indicated the Republic of Ireland international is targeting a return around the start of August.

Kenny spent the second half of last season on loan at Bolton, scoring six goals and registering three assists in 14 appearances before his injury.
