The EFL has confirmed that the use of VAR will be use for the Championship play-off final on Sunday May 29.
It was announced on Wednesday that the video technology would not be used in either of the semi-finals involving Huddersfield Town, Luton Town, Forest and Sheffield United - despite all four clubs being asked about the matter and submitting positive responses.
The decision means VAR will be used for the first time in a Reds fixture since the FA Cup quarter-final defeat to Premier League side Liverpool at the City Ground. Forest boss Cooper commented on the technology after Jurgen Klopp's side were awarded a goal following a tight offside and also avoided conceding a penalty when Alisson Becker brought down Ryan Yates.
