The EFL has confirmed the dates for next month's Championship play-offs - with Sunderland firmly in the mix for a top six finish. The Black Cats moved into a play-off place courtesy of yesterday's 2-1 win at top six rivals West Bromwich Albion.
They fell behind to John Swift's penalty on the stroke of half-time, but two goals from Dennis Cirkin in the second half turned the game around. With two games remaining - and a clutch of clubs still in contention - Tony Mowbray's side looks destined to be in the chase right to the last.
And whether Sunderland are ultimately achieve a top six finish this season or not, they are enjoying an incredible first season back in the second tier just 12 months after they won promotion via the League One play-offs. If Sunderland do book a place in this season's play-offs, these are the dates of the fixtures.
