EE has issued a warning to its Liverpool customers over possible disruption to services.
Several users of the mobile phone network have received a text message this morning warning them of upcoming work that could impact their mobile phone's service. EE said that 'essential improvements' being carried out may cause disruption for some customers in the Liverpool region over the next few days.
The updates are planned to take place on Thursday, April 21. Disruptions are expected to last for one day.

A text message received by a customer read: "Hi from EE. We're making some essential improvements to our network in Liverpool which might affect your service from 21-Apr for 1 day. We apologise in advance for any disruption this causes - we'll work as quickly as we can."
The company also gave advice for anyone who is affected by the disruption. The message continued: "If you do experience any disruption make sure you enable WiFi calling on your phone so you can still make calls and send text messages."

Connect your phone to WiFi

From the home screen, tap the Apps icon

Scroll to and tap Settings > More (in ‘Wireless & networks’ section) > Mobile networks

Tap the WiFi Calling switch to enable it
