Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar has been told to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea this summer after the club poached Jorginho from Stamford Bridge in January. The Gunners completed a £12million deal to sign the Italian midfielder from their London rivals, bolstering Mikel Arteta's midfield options.
Jorginho has already become a popular figure in the dressing room at the Emirates Stadium and Arteta will hope the Italy international's experience will help their Premier League title challenge. The Blues signed Enzo Fernandez in a British record transfer deal on deadline day, joining from Benfica for £106million.
Chelsea have struggled this season under Graham Potter and Mount has been one of the players to face a lot of criticism for his performances. The England international's contract is set to expire next summer and talks over a renewal have not proved successful so far, sparking interest in the 24-year-old from Liverpool.

Former Arsenal star Emmanuel Frimpong believes the Gunners should look at signing Mount this summer, but only if the price is right. Frimpong told BettingSites.co.uk: "Mason Mount is a very good player, not world class, but a good enough player to play for Arsenal.
"He would bolster Arsenal's squad, if I was in charge of Arsenal, he is the player I would like to bring in. Mount is very young, never injured, very professional and an England international.
"He has not been in great form but neither have Chelsea all season. You don't win Chelsea player of the year two times in a row if you're not a good player.
"If the money is too much, then Arsenal would have to walk away. We're [Arsenal] not Manchester City, we can't spend that much money on one player."
Arsenal are set to prioritise a move for one of Mount's closest friends, Declan Rice, in the summer transfer window, football.london understands. If Rice moves to the Emirates Stadium, it could help convince the Chelsea star to follow his friend and join Arteta's squad.
