Arsenal can look to beat their Premier League rivals Manchester United and sign the 'next Erling Haaland'. The Norwegian striker has taken the English top-flight by storm since arriving at Manchester City in the summer.
Haaland has already notched 30 goal contributions in just 21 appearances for City in all competitions this term, reaching 20 Premier League goals quicker than any other player in history. The Gunners are in need of attacking reinforcements after Gabriel Jesus suffered a knee injury during the World Cup that is set to keep him sidelined until February.
Arsenal completed a £45million deal to sign the Brazilian striker from City after he expressed a desire to leave the Etihad Stadium following Haaland's arrival. Jesus has proved to be a brilliant signing for Mikel Arteta, but should Bukayo Saka or Gabriel Martinelli suffer a fresh injury then it would leave the Gunners short of options in attack.

Arsenal and Manchester United are now set to battle it out in the transfer market to sign the Norwegian midfielder Sivert Mannsverk from Molde. The 20-year-old is being monitored closely by the two Premier League giants and it's thought that Molde will demand a Norwegian-record sale worth €10million (£8.8million) to part ways with the young midfield sensation, according to a report by French outlet Jeunes Footeux.
Molde have recently let go of David Datro Fofana to Chelsea and could now be set to lose another talented youngster should the Gunners pull off a deal to sign Mannsverk in January. Arsenal are in need of a new central midfielder with Youri Tielemans, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Moises Caicedo all having been linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium - though Caicedo looks set to join Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Haaland first drew attention to his own talents when playing for Molde before he sealed a move to Red Bull Salzburg. His meteoric rise to becoming one of the best strikers in Europe started in Norway and the same could happen for Mannsverk with Premier League interest growing.
