Bryant Moreland, better known as EDP445, is back in the spotlight after a new documentary revisited the controversy surrounding him. The former YouTube personality is featured in The Sick Mind of EDP445 , a documentary by Mike Clum that looks back at several moments from Moreland’s past. One of those is the 2021 “cupcake” incident, which is now reportedly being re-examined by the Kern County District Attorney’s Office in Bakersfield, California. The case dates back to a sting operation involving Moreland and a person he believed was a 13-year-old girl. According to the information about the incident, the person was actually a decoy working with predator hunters. Moreland was reportedly accused of sending explicit photos of himself to the person he thought was the teenager and was allegedly trying to meet her. No charges were filed against him over the operation at the time.

Why the Kern County District Attorney’s Office is looking at the case again
The renewed attention comes from statements made in the documentary. Bakersfield Now reported that the Kern County District Attorney’s Office is now re-examining the 2021 case because of what Moreland said in the film.
The office reportedly stated: “We are re-examining the case in light of the statements made by the suspect in the documentary.”
That statement does not mean new charges have been filed against Moreland. It means the earlier case is being looked at again based on material that appeared in the documentary.
