EDINBURGH Zoo has revealed adorable pictures of an endangered red panda kit born earlier this summer.
The female kit, born at Edinburgh Zoo, has had her first health check from the wildlife conservation charity’s veterinary team and is reported to be doing well.
She is now nine weeks old and was born on July 17.
The Zoo say she will be named shortly, and visitors will soon have the chance to spot the kit who will be sticking close to mum, Ginger, and dad, Bruce.
There are now four red pandas living at the zoo – Bruce, Ginger, Kevyn, and the new kit.
The release comes after the zoo reported a cheetah died just two months after arriving.
In August, Edinburgh Zoo welcomed Cleo, a five-year-old northeastern cheetah, from the Fota Wildlife Park in Ireland. It was the first time a cheetah had been kept at Edinburgh Zoo in 24 years.
However, on Wednesday it was announced that Cleo had died.
