The countdown to the summer holidays are on with kids set to finish school in just a few weeks.
Naturally with the kids being off, many parents will be panicking about what to do and how to keep the little ones entertained.
Thankfully there are numerous things to do in and around the city with Edinburgh Zoo being one of them - number 86 of 494 things to do in Edinburgh to be exact according to TripAdvisor.

Edinburgh Zoo opening and closing times
At present the Zoo is open seven days a week to visitors and though they usually charge for parking, it remains free at the time of writing this.
The Zoo stresses that tickets are "limited" and "may sell out up to a week in advance for school holidays and weekends".
Because of this they recommend booking ahead of time unless you are an RZSS member or accompanied guest.
Their opening times are as follows:
- April to September: 10am to 6pm
- October and March: 10am to 5pm
- November to February: 10am to 6pm
- Christmas Day: Closed
- Boing Day: Closed

You are better to book especially if you want a lower price.
Visitors should be aware that children 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
In addition, the prices with donation include a voluntary 10% donation towards RZSS conservation projects.
