A young Edinburgh woman has been left shaken after a man made inappropriate sexual advances to her at a bus stop.
The incident is understood to have occurred at around 7:00pm on Friday (March 18) at Drum Brae hub in the Clermiston area.
The woman, who does not wish to be identified, was forced to make small talk with the man, who she described as a black male in his mid 30’s and around 5ft 10 in height.
He was understood to be wearing a blue jacket and black jeans.
She said: “I personally feel that women wearing dresses and skirts are seen as an easy shot for some guys. Guys never seem to have this nonsense pulled on them?
“What happened was, I got off the bus and the guy was there, sitting on the bench.
“He said I was very beautiful and sexy and he loved my dress. He asked me where I live, did I want to be friends, and if he could he come and have sex with me.
“He wanted my number so I said OK and gave my dad's old number which is no longer in use as my dad passed away.
“He immediately tried to call it and then looked at me asking if I’d given a fake number and I said I don’t currently have a sim in my phone.
“He said to call him when I get home and I said that I would even though I obviously would not.
“Then my next bus came.”
Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
