Edinburgh will play host to a gin festival with exhibitions, seminars and interactive experiences.
The festival, which was created in 2014 by Solid Liquids, will take place at Summerhall June 17 and 18.
The organisers behind the festival, who through the years have welcomed over 6000 visitors, have announced their full list of 23 exhibitors and plan to have seminars to be hosted by some of the most famous distillers in the field.

The festival has also promised that this year will be their most interactive year yet, including the brand-new and exclusive experience, ‘The Sound of Gin’, which examines how different genres and styles of music can affect the flavour of drinks.
There will also be more fun such as Create Your Own Mixer, and Cocktail Masterclasses. Festival attendees will also have the opportunity to have a Science of the Sesh lesson, where Drinks Lab’s sold-out Edinburgh Fringe Show will also teach 15-minute class that is too cool for school, carrying out different experiments that explore questions like if the colour of a drink impacts its flavour.
Managing Director at Summerhall Drinks Lab, Jamie Shields, said “At the Drinks Lab we are passionate about giving our guests the most informative and interactive experience. We absolutely love when our visitors have a chance to meet and chat with the brilliant people behind the product and learn everything about it.”
The full list of booze-filled seminars includes Edinburgh Gin, Lussa & Isle Cumbrae Distillers, author of The Scottish Gin Bible Sean Murphy, and North Point Distillery. Guests will be able to join these seminars and masterclasses to learn more about their favourite spirits and will develop knowledge and secrets from the expert distillers themselves.
The festival will feature the best Gin distilleries and spirit brands from across the UK which have been selected by The Drinks Lab. Visitors will receive a welcome drink and will be able to sample new and exciting drinks throughout the event.
They will also be able to chat and interact with producers from the likes of Edinburgh Gin, The Inventor’s Co. Gin, Isle of Harris Gin and Rock Rose.
Owner of 56 North & South Loch Gin, James Sutherland, said “I’m really looking forward to being back at the festival and seeing all the amazing guests who attend and have so much fun.
We will be there representing 56 North as we have been every year, but most importantly we are now also South Loch Gin so letting guests try our award-winning Gins for the first time at Juniper Festival is very exciting!”
Tickets are on sale for £10 which you can purchase via the Juniper Festival website. The tickets gain you entry to the event, a welcome drink on arrival, and free samples throughout the day.
You can also buy wristbands for a discounted fee to access all seminars and interactive activities.
