An Edinburgh pub has closed its doors overnight, with a cryptic sign posted on their front door.
The Foot of the Walk, which is ran by the Wetherspoon chain, is closed indefinitely due to circumstances 'out with' their control. Locals in Leith were left confused by the mysterious information provided.
The sign reads: "Due to circumstances out with our control, our pub will be closed until further notice.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
After visiting the Constitution Street watering hole, Edinburgh Live discovered the tram works are beginning to be removed from the area at the Foot of the Walk. It's currently unclear whether or not this is related to the pub closure.
JD Wetherspoon has been approached for comment.
