Edinburgh is set for a blustery and wet start to the week with strong winds and showers set to hit the capital after the weekend.
According to the Met Office, strong and cold winds are due to arrive on Tuesday evening, with a chance of rain between Sunday and Wednesday as it looks like the winter weather is very much sticking around.
Following a mainly dry Saturday, a mixture of rain and dry conditions are looking likely for Sunday, January 29. The Met Office predicts: "A windy day with some patchy rain in the north, Lothian likely to remain dry until mid afternoon when rain will affect most places. Maximum temperature 10 °C."

Looking further ahead towards the start of the week, the temperature is set to fall a little due to strong winds and showers in parts of eastern Scotland.
The forecast continues: "A dry and bright day on Monday, possibly rain later. Showery on Tuesday and Wednesday and becoming windy, gales likely for Tuesday night, feeling very cold in strong winds."
With every day becoming more and more unpredictable in terms of the weather, locals could pack both their sunglasses and umbrella before departing for work in the morning.
The forecast also predicts periods of sunshine breaking through the clouds on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs of around 7C and lows of 3-5C.
