Edinburgh is set to enjoy clear skies and soaring temperatures this week, and is even predicted to be hotter than cities such as Madrid and Berlin.
According to forecaster the Met Office, the city will see "sunny spells" and unseasonable warmth between now and Friday — with a moderate UV index expected.
Monday will be a relatively mild day in the capital, with highs of 9 degrees Celsius predicted.

It will be a clear and bright day, however, with sunshine expected all the way through to 6pm, after which clouds will begin to form.
The evening will see the city cool down further, eventually dropping to lows of 5C early on Tuesday morning.
While clouds will cover Edinburgh for a large part of Tuesday, it will be a warmer day than Monday with the mercury peaking at 12C in the mid-afternoon — around which time there will also be sustained spells of clear skies.
As stated by the Met Office, it will be "unseasonably warm with a light southeasterly breeze".
Wednesday looks to get off to an ominous start, with fog covering Edinburgh for much of the morning.
By midday, skies will clear and temperatures will shoot up to a peak of 15C before dropping later on for another chilly night.
Moving to Thursday, temperatures will continue to hold steady at 15C, making Edinburgh warmer that Madrid which is expected to see a peak of 13C on Thursday along with rain.
Like much of the week, there will be clouds covering the capital, with a prolonged sunny spell forecast for around midday.
Friday and the weekend look to tell the same story, with temperatures remaining above 10C and sunny intervals expected amid light clouds.
