A yellow warning for thunderstorms has been issued for Edinburgh and the Lothians ahead of potential downpours on Wednesday.
The Met Office has issued the warning which is in place between 12pm and 6pm as they say heavy showers and thunderstorms could cause some flooding and disruption.
This comes after heavy showers hosed down the capital on Tuesday afternoon before a period of sunshine in the evening, adding to the unpredictable forecast over the past few days.

However, it looks like more rain is on the way as the Met Office has also warned of difficult driving conditions affected by spray, longer journey times, delays to train services and 'probably' some damage to a few buildings and structures.
The forecast for Wednesday says: "A dry and sunny start to the day then showers developing later this morning. Some of the showers will be heavy, possibly thundery this afternoon, dying away again this evening. Staying warm with light winds. Maximum temperature 22 °C."
There will be some respite for locals, however, as any showers are set to die away in the evening, with dry periods overnight and a "fresher feel night with light winds."
On Thursday, forecasters predict: "Most places will have a dry, bright day with sunny spells. A few light showers may break out in the afternoon, particularly over the Borders. Warm again with light winds. Maximum temperature 23 °C."
