Edinburgh is set to be hotter than Tenerife next week as temperatures are to soar next week.

Parts of Europe are currently experiencing an extreme heatwave with Portugal issuing a warning over forest fires. The hot air circulating around France, Spain and Portugal is set to flow towards to the UK bringing with it the high temperatures.

Areas around the UK have already felt highs of the late 20s with Edinburgh catching it on the odd days this month so far. However, next week, temperatures are set to spike again, higher than a popular island in the Canaries.
