The potential for a heatwave in Edinburgh is on the rise, as well as the likelihood of barbeques and picnics in the capital.
Forecasters at BBC Weather have predicted a ten-day stretch where temperatures will stay above 19C in June, with a few rare spats of cloud of rain.
According to meteorologists, Saturday, June 10 will kick off the sunny and warm weather, with highs of 19C and clear skies.

From then, temperatures will range between 19C and 21C, all the way to June 19.
Sunday, June 11 will see highs of 20C and light rain showers, but the sun will still shine in the sky.
Monday, June 12 until Wednesday, June 14 will see some clouds and rain trying to stick around in the capital, with highs of 20C and lows of 9C.
The clear skies will return on Thursday, June 15, and last all the way to Sunday, June 18.
Not a cloud will appear during these dates, with highs of 20C and lows of 9C.
Monday, June 19 will see scorching temperatures of 21C - but the pesky rain and clouds will have returned.

Today's forecast
This afternoon will see cloud breaks widely developing, allowing for prolonged sunny spells. Largely dry, but an isolated shower can't be ruled out on the mainland.
Tonight's forecast
Tonight, areas of low cloud will build back in for the east and the far north, where the odd spot of drizzle cannot be ruled out. Clear and dry elsewhere, but the odd patch of mist is possible.
Tomorrow's forecast
Tomorrow, northern areas will see patchy cloud at times, but with sunny spells too. A chance of a few light showers is possible on the mainland. Sunny in the south once early cloud clears the east.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday
Variable amounts of cloud for the north on Thursday with a few showers likely, but turning widely sunny again in the south.
Mostly sunny and dry on Friday with cloud affecting only eastern areas during the morning.
A warm day for much of the west. Saturday will continue dry with plenty of sunshine for many but cloud and showers may approach the south-west by the evening.

It will likely remain cloudy at times along northern and eastern coasts, cloud occasionally moving inland, mainly overnight.
Winds mostly light or moderate with the potentially for some slightly stronger winds near southern coasts.
Temperature generally warm away from cooler eastern coastal counties.
Perhaps very warm for some, especially in the south. Later in the period uncertainty increases, however the risk of showers or thunderstorms continues, mainly across southern areas of the UK, with northern areas more likely to remain drier.
The easterly breeze may ease at times, allowing eastern counties to see a recovery in temperatures. Temperatures generally near to above average.
