As the month of February rolls on, the weather hasn't exactly been setting us up for the perfect spring.
From snow, to 'monster rainstorms', Edinburgh has seen a whole host of dreary weather since the start of the year. However, this will dissipate soon, and the sun will return to the sky.
But, not yet, as forecasters at the Met Office have predicted the same dreich weather to stay put for the time being - heading into the February half-term break. According to predictions, temperatures will not hit double figures next week, and it will remain cold - but thankfully, the below-zero weather will steer clear.

Edinburgh's Met Office long ranging forecast, from February 13 until February 22
In their long-range forecast for the UK, forecasters say: "Tuesday will likely be dry for most across the UK, with a chance of sunshine particularly in the northwest. Any early mist and fog patches quickly clearing. The odd spot of light rain is possible, mostly across Northern Ireland.
"The settled weather remaining for many into the end of the week, with some bands of cloud and rain possibly progressing into the north and northwest at times. Also, strong winds likely in the north and west, with coastal gales possible here.
"Further into the period a transition away from high pressure in the south allows for more unsettled conditions to become widespread across the UK at times.
"Temperatures generally mild or rather mild, although with a chance of cold nights in the south, especially earlier in the period."
