Edinburgh is set to see rainy weather this weekend, as King Charles coronation day is finally upon us, on May 6.
The historic event is set to take place on Saturday, May 6, with Princes Street Gardens erecting a huge screen for people to come together and watch the coronation live.
The ceremony, which is taking place at Westminster Abbey in London, is scheduled to begin at 11am but access to the free screening area will open from 10am.

The screen will remain in place on the Sunday, where people can watch the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle live, with music superstars to take the stage in honour of the new King.
So, what will the weather look like for the weekend of the King's coronation? Edinbugh will see highs of 15C on Saturday, with light showers beginning at 11am.
The sun will continue to peek through the cloudy weather from noon onwards, with the rain not stopping all day.
The temperature will stay relatively high for May, as it won't see a drop until 9pm that evening, to 12C.
According to BBC Weather, Saturday will have variable cloud and some sharp showers will develop through the afternoon.
However, if you are thinking of heading to Princes Street Gardens to watch the concert, it may be best to 'rain-check' those plans, as thundery showers are expected on Sunday, May 7.
While the clouds and rainy weather continues through from Saturday in early Sunday morning, the thunder and lightning won't occur until 2pm that afternoon.

It is predicted to only last for an hour, where the rain and sun will resume for the rest of the day.
Sunday will also see warmer temperatures of 15C, with lows of 7C throughout the entirety of the weekend.
Bank holiday monday will see a return of overcast weather and continuance of rain, with highs of 15C and lows of 8C.
The Met Office predicts that there will also be light winds in the capital, so plan your bank holiday escapades with this in mind.
