Edinburgh is set for highs of 22C before the end of the month which comes amid a spell of bad weather.
According to AccuWeather, who have looked at the forecast ahead for the rest of August, the capital is set for a mixture of wet and dry spells before the higher temperatures roll in.
This week much of the weather is set to remain wet with some sunny spells breaking their way through the clouds. The Met Office have also said the same when discussing the weather over the next week with the capital set for several downpours across the next few weeks as we head into the colder season.

The next week however will see a slight change in weather with the sun set to come back out and warm up the city for a short while with AccuWeather having said that from August 22 to August 27, temperatures will peak to 22C on August 26 (Friday).

Rather a cloudy start with some patchy rain in the east and some mist too. Northerly winds will freshen and bring some brighter conditions into the west later but cloud quite persistent for East Lothian and the Borders. Maximum temperature 20 °C.
Tonight
Fresher, cooler conditions push down from the north, clear spells developing and becoming mostly clear with light winds by morning. Minimum temperature 6 °C.
Wednesday
A dry and bright day with sunny intervals and light winds. Clouding over in the west during the evening and southwesterly winds freshening too. Maximum temperature 19 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday
Quite a windy period with fresh southwesterlies at times. Rain or showers each day but periods of brightness in between. The best weather is likely on Friday.
