Edinburgh is currently under a new weather warning, put in place by the Met Office on Sunday morning - but the disruptive weather is set to continue further into this week.
The capital is predicted to be shrouded by up to 5cm of snowfall by Thursday, March 16 - as temperatures drop to -5C today (March 13).
A weather map provided by WXCharts shows that by Thursday, up to 5cm of snow will fall, with a further 4cm hitting the capital on Friday.
Saturday shows a similar picture, with swirling snow storms bringing disruption and issues for people across Edinburgh.

Forecasters at BBC Weather are currently predicting heavy rainfall from today until the weekend, as Met Office meteorologists also forecast heavy rain for the end of the week.
BBC Weather predict that snow will return to the capital on Wednesday, March 15, from 6pm onwards. The snowfall and sleet will continue throughout the evening until 1am on Thursday morning.

There is a yellow weather warning currently in place for Edinburgh for snow and ice, as the wintry forecast is likely to cause disruption across the capital.
The warning is in place from 5pm tonight until 10am tomorrow morning (March 14).

Mostly cloudy with the chance of a few showers. Rather more widespread and persistent rain and hill snow will spread south this afternoon, the far south staying dry. Mild, but turning colder through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Widespread rain, sleet and snow this evening, giving a covering on hills. Then a few snow showers spreading to the southwest but dry across the east. Frost and ice. Minimum temperature -3 °C.
Tuesday's forecast
A cold and bright day with scattered sleet and snow showers. Becoming dry towards evening. Frost overnight, locally severe. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday
Widespread rain, preceded by sleet and snow, will spread northeast later on Wednesday. Cloudy and less cold with occasional rain on Thursday and Friday.
