A number of rush hour train services in and out of Edinburgh have been brought to a halt after emergency services were called out to an incident at a city station.
All lines running from Edinburgh city centre heading west have been closed after a huge emergency response raced to Slateford just before 5pm, after reports were made of trespassers on the route.
Issuing an urgent update to passengers, ScotRail said that all services heading to Glasgow Central and Shotts would be subject to delays.

Disruption is expected until after 6pm. A message on social media read: Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident at Slateford, all lines are closed. Services between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh via Shotts will be delayed."
