Edinburgh train passengers have been issued a warning after a person was sadly struck by a train on Monday.
A number of LNER trains have been disrupted after a person was hit on the tracks on Monday early afternoon. Taking to social media, the train operator has been issuing updates on their services.
Earlier this afternoon, LNER wrote on their website: "12pm Edinburgh to London Kings Cross due 4.41pm was terminated at Doncaster. It will no longer call at Newark North Gate, Peterborough and London Kings Cross. This is due to a person being hit by a train."

They have also added that the 4pm Edinburgh to London Kings Cross service due 8.39pm will also be cancelled. The 4.30pm service will also call additionally at Doncaster and Peterborough.
The British Transport Police has been contacted for comment.
