A tourist in Edinburgh has been left in stitches after getting a bizarre 'wake up call' at a hotel in Corstorphine.
Emma Bruce, 33, from Inverness, was on holiday in the capital and chose to stay at the four-star Holiday Inn on Corstorphine Road due to the great views of the zoo.
The tourist loves animals and got an unexpected surprise when she was woken up by an "ambulance" sound blaring at half-seven on Saturday morning.

Much to her delight Emma realised it was an animal's call from the zoo next door and when she visited the attraction the next day had it confirmed by zookeepers who she showed the video that it was a gibbon.
A Gibbon is a type of primate which live in subtropical and tropical rainforest and are recognisable by its adorable fluffy face and unique markings.
In the video, if you listen carefully you can hear the low tone drawn out a shriek from the apes in their nearby home.
Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Laura said: "I am staying in the Holiday Inn next to the zoo. We came down on Friday and went shopping yesterday in town and heading back up the road tomorrow.
"I heard this strange noise that sounded like an ambulance about 7.30am on Saturday morning then realised it was from the zoo."

She continued: "It happened the last time when I was staying that's how I found out it was the Gibbons. I love staying next to the zoo as I'm Looking over the Budongo trail where the chimpanzees sleep."
