A tourist and his family are convinced that they have caught a glimpse of the Queen's ghost at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
Wayne, 50, from Newcastle, was up in Edinburgh on Thursday, October 20, and was exploring the capital and taking in the sights of the city centre.
He was taking pictures during a tour at the Palace along with his partner and two friends, when suddenly he caught sight of a ghost bending over on a bed through a window at Holyroodhouse.
The image is difficult to make out, but Wayne is certain that he spotted something in the bottom corner of the window on the left, reports Edinburgh Live.
On the picture, the Geordie said: “We were visiting Edinburgh for three days and on Thursday we visited Holyroodhouse Palace.
“I was taking pictures for a while at the palace but was shocked when we got back home as I thought that I saw someone sitting on the bed crouched over.
“I thought it was strange what we saw on the camera. We thought it may have been the Queen or another royal female member who had died in the past.
“This isn’t the first time that I have taken a picture of a ghost either, as last year we went to the Adelphi, which is meant to be haunted, and I captured something there.”
