Edinburgh has been named as one of the world’s ‘most accepting’ cities for the LGBTQ+ community, according to new research.
The capital placed seventh in global analysis of the best places to experience queer culture, narrowly missing out on the top five behind Dublin and Brussels.
The city did however manage to come out on top of the UK rankings, beating eighth-placed Cardiff and ninth-placed Glasgow to claim the honour in the ‘Rainbow Cities Index’.
