British Transport Police detectives are now appealing for witnesses after a local teenager fell from the roof at Edinburgh Waverley train station and sustained serious injuries on Monday night.
On May 8, at 11pm, a 16-year-old boy fell from the roof at the railway station near to the entrance on Waverley Bridge.
The teenager suffered an electric shock on the overhead lines beneath, and was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

Edinburgh Live reported at the time that paramedics were in attendance at the scene alongside British Transport Police.
The 16-year-old was said to have life-changing injuries in a statement from detectives at the time, and remains in the hospital in a stable condition.
Now, detectives are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch with the British Transport Police, or anonymously via Crimestoppers.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident is asked to contact BTP by calling 0800 40 50 40 or by texting 61016 – with reference 795 of 08/05/23.
"Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
