Edinburgh ScotRail passengers have been warned to expect cancellations over the next 24 hours as 'adverse' weather hits the capital.
The travel operator issued an urgent alert on their social media on Friday morning (September 30), as a yellow weather warning has been issued for parts of Scotland.
Currently stretching over parts of West Lothian, the yellow alert for 'heavy rain' is currently in place until 2pm on Friday, however wet and windy conditions are set to continue into Saturday.

Speaking on Friday, ScotRail said the 'adverse' conditions had meant they had imposed emergency speed restrictions on certain routes in and out of Edinburgh.

Including Edinburgh to Dunblane and Edinburgh to Glasgow Queen Street, passengers planning on using these services have been told to expect 'delays and cancellations.'
In a tweet, ScotRail said: "Due to adverse weather conditions we have various blanket emergency speed restrictions implemented across our network today and early tomorrow (Saturday, 1) morning.
"Services on the following routes may face delays and cancelations; Edinburgh - Dunblane. Glasgow Queen St -Aberdeen/Alloa/Dundee/Edinburgh/Inverness/Mallaig/Oban. Inverness - Kyle Of Lochalsh and Inverness - Wick."
