Known for being a classic watering hole in the area for years, the pub was mentioned in a list compiled by The Financial Times, who had shared the 'World's best sandwich shops'.
Praising the return of the 'really big sandwich', the paper shared their love for the comeback of a sandwich stuffed as full as possible.
According to the publication, only nine eateries were worth including, stretching from New York to London and even Los Angeles.
However, The Polwarth Tavern was able to put themselves on the map, and were commended for the seriously impressive subs and sandwiches that have been coming out of their kitchen.
Despite not having the aesthetics of an LA sandwich bar or a classic New York deli, the pub has shown the proof is in the pudding, with chefs creating new mouthwatering combinations and specials every week.
