An exciting new wine bar from the award-winning team behind the Timberyard restaurant is set to open in the capital this autumn.
Montrose House is set to be the latest venture from the family behind the popular Lady Lawson Street venue, which recently won its first-ever Michelin Star.
The new spot will be based at Montrose Terrace in the Abbeyhill area of the city and will offer two floors of top wines and a menu of European-inspired small plates put together by Timberyard head chef James Murray.
Speaking about the new wine bar to Restaurant Online, director of Timberyard, Jo Radford, said: "In a way, we will be opening a venue with two very different offerings under one roof.
"On the ground floor will be the wine bar that Edinburgh has never had, while upstairs will be an intimate, six-table dining room."

The Radfords, the family behind Timberyard, which they launched in 2012, say the new eatery will have a focus on wines hailing from smaller producers, with Jo adding: "All our wines will be capsule free and showcase indigenous varieties from all corners of Europe."
We'll let you know more as soon as we have the opening date but for now, you can follow the journey on their social media.
