A giant Ukraine flag has been spotted at one of Edinburgh's top beauty spots, reaffirming the solidarity that the capital shares with those who have had their lives turned upside down in recent weeks.
The national banner can be seen at the top of the crags in Holyrood Park, just below the summit of Arthur's Seat, one of the city's most desirable tourist destinations.
The flag can also be seen by those travelling in and out of the busy park, where thousands use the road to commute and walk every day.

The site is popular as it offers some of the best views of the whole city, with climbers usually being seen on the crags come rain or shine.
On Saturday, March 5, a passer-by spotted the huge flag and posted a picture on Twitter, with the caption: "There's a Ukraine flag walking along the Crags in Edinburgh."
Since the conflict between Russia and Ukraine broke out, those in Edinburgh have come together in solidarity with those fleeing or staying to fight within Ukraine.
Dozens of local businesses have set up collection points for donations of food and resources to be delivered to the grief-stricken country, as well as several protests outside the Russian Embassy in the capital taking place, making the stance clear that Edinburgh stands with Ukraine and that there is no place for war in the world.
The addition of the flag in Holyrood Park further conveys the feeling of solidarity, with thousands of locals travelling through that particular area of the city every day.
It has been reported that over a million refugees in Ukraine have fled the country and are seeking permanent residence elsewhere in Europe, with several hundred applying for access into the UK.
As the coming days and weeks present even more uncertainty and distress for those experiencing the untold destruction in Ukraine, it is clear that those in Scotland's capital will never stop showing support in any way they can.
