The Scottish Ambulance Service also echoed the sentiments of cops and advised residents to stay in their homes while authorities deal with the situation. Police also say that specialist resources are also at the scene.
The warning from Edinburgh police reads: "Local officers and specialist resources are currently dealing with numerous reports of fireworks-related youth disorder in Niddrie. The public are asked to avoid the area for the time-being and local residents should stay within their properties."
The Scottish Ambulance Service added: "Please avoid the Niddrie area of Edinburgh and locals please stay inside your properties."
