Edinburgh residents have been left in awe after spotting two Royal Air Force (RAF) Typhoon fighter jets soaring over the city.
The two RAF jets were seen around 2pm on Wednesday, January 18 as they glided through the unusually blue sky in the capital.

A video shows the two fighters flying side by side across the city and was captured by a couple of local residents who wondered what the noise was.
Ash Wilson and Jenna Blackley captured the incredible footage and shared it online.
The planes were taking part in a routine training sortie from RAF Lossiemouth and zoomed across the North Sea, through the Borders and of course through Edinburgh.
The training exercises keep the defence force prepared to intercept any dangers to British air space.
Just last year RAF jets were spotted scrambling to an ‘unidentified aircraft’ off Edinburgh's coast heading to the north of Scotland.
The RAF was conducting a 'Quick Reaction Alert' mission, involved in the operation to intercept the unknown plane.

Typhoon fighters from RAF Lossiemouth, supported by a Voyager Tanker from RAF Brize Norton, had launched northwards against the "unidentified aircraft" approaching the "UK area of interest".
An RAF Spokesman confirmed: "RAF Typhoon fighters from RAF Lossiemouth, completed a routine training sortie today operating over the North Sea and the borders, the aircraft transited over Edinburgh on during this period."
