A person has died after being hit by a train on the Edinburgh to Glasgow railway line.
Emergency services were scrambled to Lenzie Station on Tuesday, March 9, at around 6.15pm after receiving reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Paramedics attended to the person, however they were sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Police Scotland have said that the death is not being treated as suspicious.

As emergency services attended the tragic incident, trains between Edinburgh and Glasgow were suspended for around three hours.
Trains between the two stations via Falkirk High and other services returned late last night but others were still delayed, cancelled or diverted.
British Transport Police have said the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will now be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Lenzie railway station at 18.51pm on 7 March following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
