An Edinburgh woman was hit with a hefty fine after police caught her taking a video of the Queensferry Crossing as she drove across it.
Road officers issued a warning this week after the 54-year-old had been spotted on her phone while heading across the iconic Edinburgh bridge.
According to police, the views had been impressive from the crossing on Tuesday (May 10), with the "sunny" weather making the crossing a pleasant drive.

However, they explained that they had seen the female driver using her phone to capture the views on video while she was behind the wheel.
Quickly pulling over the red Mini, the driver was issued with a large £200 fine, as well as six points on their license.

Speaking about the incident on social media, police shared that although the phone was "resting on the wheel", it was still a driving offence.
A tweet read: "#FifeRP know the Queensferry Crossing looks amazing on a sunny May evening.
"It's equally amazing to see the 54 yr old, female driver of this Mini resting her phone on the steering wheel and videoing it whilst driving across it!
"Issued a ticket for £200 and 6 points."
