When it comes to finding that dream property of yours - whether you're looking to move out solo or with friends or family - it can be quite the task.

Sadly it's not just as easy as picking the right location and number of bedrooms, with many other factors to be considered.

And with the cost of living going up, the price is just one of them.

The property market is tough for many people right now - not just here in the capital with rental prices a little higher than most would like.

So taking a look at Rightmove, we've taken a look at what the most expensive Edinburgh rental was compared to the cheapest to see what it can get you.

Leith Walk

The cheapest rental according to Rightmove is situated in Leith Walk - just a 15 minute walk to the Royal Mile.

Here you can rent a one bed, one bathroom furnished flat for £121 per week - or £525 per month.

This property is a long-term flat share and bills are included in the price.

The pictures show a modern and clean living area with plenty of windows to allow natural light to shine through.

According to the floor plans, the property has a total of eight bedrooms spread across two floors with everyone sharing the kitchen area.

Rightmove have said the area is shared by a mix of genders.

As well as the modern kitchen, it also has WIFI, a flat screen TV which is wall mounted, gas heating, zone parking and secure entry.

Looking at the most expensive place we found a stunning property up for grabs for £2,769 per week - or £12,000 per month.

If you have the cash to spare, you're looking at getting a flat with four bedrooms and a Bagno-designed floor to ceiling shower room with heated seat and flooring.

Each bedroom is bright and spacious with the rental spanning across two floors with bedroom one and two on the same ground as the kitchen and living room.

The shower is not like the usual ones we see featured in property pictures. (Rightmove.)

The long-term furnished rental is said to be a "B-listed William Playfair-designed four-bedroom double upper Georgian flat located on the main bank connecting the exclusive Stockbridge to the vibrant New Town. Perfectly balancing period characteristics with luxurious contemporary design."

In a world where people are working from home more frequently, renters will be glad to know the property boasts Hi-speed WIFI, a Hive controlled central heating system as well as USB charging points in all rooms and extensive storage.
