Edinburgh property: Luxury home with outdoor hot tub and barbecue terrace up for sale

A four-bedroom family home is up for sale on the outskirts of Edinburgh city centre, equipped with an outdoor hot tub and bi-folding doors to enjoy the most of the summer weather.

With the sun shining more than it has done all year, several features within a house start to get their use. Now is the perfect time for having guests round for a barbecue and to chill in the hot tub, albeit at a cooler temperature than usual.

Luckily, this modern home on Captains Road, Liberton, ensures you can do all of the above.

While on the market for offers over £435,000 - a lot less than the pictures indicate - the home includes a modern finish and ample space throughout, as well as being located away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

To the front of the property, a large driveway could easily fit up to three cars. Upon entrance, the light and airy home already becomes evident with a spacious hall that leads to an open-plan reception room, bearing all the hallmarks of the heart of a property.

The room includes a trio of a kitchen, living and dining area, with a middle island separating the kitchen from a wooden dining table and providing ample unit and preparation space. The kitchen appliances are all integrated to maximise the amount of space within this area.

Beyond the dining table, a large corner sofa occupies the sitting area that backs on to modern bi-folding doors that open fully to provide access to the spacious back garden, perfect for having guests round on a summer day.

A contemporary glass and timber staircase beside the kitchen leads to the upstairs principal bedroom which benefits from a glamorous en-suite bathroom with lavish features such as a freestanding bathtub and a huge walk-in shower. The room also has a built in wardrobe and enough room for a two-seater couch next to the window.

Back downstairs, the remaining three double bedrooms are all located on the ground floor, each with ample space for both storage and living, as well as a shared second bathroom that also comes with a bathtub and walk-in shower room.

Externally, the garden is also a thing of beauty. Through the bi-folding doors, a slabbed patio area with garden furniture acts as a kind sun trap during the hot weather, with the hot tub positioned on the grassed area next to it to jump in when it gets just that little bit too warm.

There is also a garage situated to the rear of the property, accessible by a small lane from the front drive. Behind the hot tub, a further grassed area is also present with a number of playground apparatus and some trees for a bit of shelter.
