Edinburgh Police stopped a Ford vehicle in the Bonnington area of the capital after finding that it did not have an MOT.
Road Policing Scotland took to Twitter this morning, Saturday June 11, to say that they had stopped a vehicle on East Claremont Street.
Officers added that they carried out a handbrake test at the roadside and found that it was not working.
As well as this, there were no working brake lights on the vehicle which broke road regulations.

Police say they applied a prohibition (PG9) that would stop the vehicle from being able to be driven.
The driver of the vehicle was reported to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service in Edinburgh.
In the image shared by officers, a red Ford can be seen stopped on a cobbled road in the affluent community of Bonnington that lies just South of the city centre.
In a post on Twitter, Road Policing Scotland, said: “#EdinburghRP stopped this Ford on East Claremont Street for having no MOT.
“A roadside check revealed that the handbrake did not work & there were no functioning brake lights.
“A prohibition (PG9) was applied on the vehicle to prevent it being driven & driver reported to @COPFS.”
