Police in Edinburgh recovered a vehicle which was reportedly stolen from London during a routine patrol.
Officers stopped the black Audi on Monday afternoon, May 1, and after several checks were carried out at the scene, they established that it had in fact been reported stolen three days ago over 400 miles away.
The motor was seized and enquiries are ongoing alongside the Metropolitan Police as an image uploaded to the Road Policing Scotland Twitter account shows the vehicle on the back of a transporter.
