Police Scotland has launched a probe into an unexplained death after a body was found at the Union Canal in Ratho on Monday, December 19.
The body of a man was found at 9.30am this morning and the area was cordoned off by investigators at the scene.
Officers in the city have now started an investigation into the full circumstances surrounding the man's death. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal's office.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "The death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
