A busy Edinburgh street has been blocked as major police presence are currently dealing with an incident on Wednesday afternoon.
Cops swooped on Nicolson Street, in the city centre, at 4pm this afternoon and locals reported police intercepted a vehicle during a chase through the streets.
Crowds gathered and shop owners looked on as multiple police vehicles surrounded the area, with traffic being diverted in both directions along the road.

One local reported that a police chase took place and they witnessed a taxi driver attempt to block the vehicle that was trying to flee the scene, helping police close in.
Scores of alarmed locals emerged from nearby flats and shops to see what was going on as more than four police response vehicles were spotted in dealing with the situation.
Buses and cars were grounded to a halt as the busy road was closed as the incident took over the whole road and pavement.
Police Scotland have been approached for a comment on the incident.
