Plans have been lodged for three large industrial and business units next to a busy Edinburgh shopping park.
The disused area, near Fort Kinnaird, has been the subject of a pre-planning application to erect the spacious buildings, including a car showroom, opposite the B&M Bargains and next to B&Q.
The site for the proposed development would sit adjacent to Oversman Road, just across the road from Edinburgh's biggest shopping park which home to the likes of Marks & Spencer, Primark, JD Sports and various food and drink establishments.

The applicant states: "The existing site has remained vacant for numerous years, whilst development has continued on the surrounding neighbouring sites. The site itself is predominantly flat with some minor level change towards the existing roundabout at the south-east corner of the site.
"The land shows signs of furrowing and contains a mixture of grassland, tall ruderals, trees and low shrubs. The site is noted as having been subject to fly tipping - resulting in an untidy, unappealing area. With the intention to redevelop the site, the client is now looking to clear litter and materials prior to construction.
"Along the eastern boundary, Whitehill Road is particularly busy at peak hours, whilst Oversman Road to the south only provides access to the existing car showrooms and is therefore a much quieter. The site is bounded to the north by a service yard and access road, which are associated with the adjacent existing industrial/trade units."
The area in question also has impressive transport links with access to the A1 nearby and Newcraighall Station as well as a park and ride into the city centre.
Although it is unclear what type of units the remaining two plots would become, they would back onto the likes of the existing Topps Tiles, Screwfix and Tool Station.
