A family of four have been left without luggage after all of their bags disappeared during a quick stop in Edinburgh on the way back from a dream holiday in America.
The Swedish family only stopped in the capital for three hours while returning from Florida on July 1. Before they were due to collect their luggage and board the last flight of their journey to Copenhagen, their bags never appeared on the carrousel.
Sofie Berthet, 52, and her husband David, 54, were travelling with their two children Ella, 16, and Alvin 18, reports the Scottish Daily Express.

To avoid missing their flight back home, the family were left with no other choice but to board the aircraft without their missing four bags, and are still without their valuables.
Sofie said: "We came from two weeks vacation in Orlando, made a quick stop of three hours in Edinburgh and then continued to Copenhagen and then to Sweden by train.
"But our luggage, four big bags, stayed in Edinburgh. Two days later I got an e-mail from a Canadian student, saying he saw one of our bags in a large pile of luggage while waiting for his own. We are feeling hopeless and upset and we don't know what to do."
According to the Express, the family's airline, SAS has said it is doing everything to track down their missing luggage. A spokesperson for the airport reaffirmed that any missing bags is the responsibility of the baggage handler, which in this case, is Swissport.
Included in some of the most treasured items the family are without, they lost all their summer clothes as well as crocheting materials belonging to Ella, who was planning to start making clothes for a summer job.
Ms Berthet said: "She spent several years worth of Christmas and birthday gifts in the States and bought a lot of yarn in order to make this dream to come true. And everything is in the bags."
The Swedish family say they are "frustrated and very upset" after over a week with no answers or useful information from the airline or baggage handler and claim that all the phone number given to them to call in Edinburgh do not connect and nobody returns their calls.
Ms Berthet added: "This is apparently outside their guidelines, we clearly get the impression that they don't care and that they have given up on our luggage since day one."
A spokesperson for Swissport said: “We’re sorry to hear about these passengers’ experiences and are looking into what’s happened here so that we can help reunite them with their luggage as quickly as possible.”
