As Ocean Mist Hotel is finally taking bookings we took an exclusive tour around the newly renovated luxurious rooms onboard.
Walking onto the boat was like being transported to another world, or more precisely another century.
The boat is said to have been built in 1919 and used to be a fishing trawler.

The owner has decided to give a respectful nod to its previous use and have opted for a more 1920s theme.
As you walk onto the vessel the reception area consists of a grand vintage desk on classic 1920s designed ornate wooden flooring.
Walking down the stairs to the rooms the carpet has fitting designs and the walls have been resourcefully made from cork.
Each of the 17 rooms has a different layout as general manager Bruce Macbride said: “Each stay will be a different experience.”
The bathrooms, while keeping to theme, have been modernised and look very sleek. The toilets are even adorned with an Ocean Mist crest.
Each room has a vintage dial phone to contact reception and request room service.
Walking down the hallway to access the rooms and we come across a glass window with parts of the old of the engineered parts of the boat from its trawling days.
Owner Alan Pedley is behind the three year refurbishment after renovating the MV Fingal which is another floating hotel in Leith.
In an attempt to encourage guests to utilise the eateries surrounding The Shore, there is no kitchen on board.
However, there is an old fashioned bar, the type you’d expect to see 1920’s flapper girls in. Stocked with local gins and beers the bar has an incredible view where guests can even see Edinburgh castle from the docks.
Taking to social media this week the hotel announced it is taking bookings, a website is soon to follow for an easier booking method but for now guests can email.
The post said: "After a three-year-rebuild, we are delighted to announce we are gently opening for business to out loyal followers. We are now taking room bookings, you can email info@oceanmistleith.com or phone."
One room that guests will not yet be able to book is a larger room upstairs that has not yet finished being renovated. A slightly fancier room it offers more space, a sofa and a dining area.
This room even features a large bath in the middle, best suited for those who want to upgrade their staycation.
